Atmospheric Black Metal Cat
This band is a gem in USBM. Folky Americana black metal straight from the wilderness. Agalloch was a tremendous band , but these guys should have been right there all along on equal footing from an attention given standpoint . Superb

Formed in 2005 on the coast of Maine, Falls Of Rauros is a four-piece band from Portland that combines elements of folk and black metal to create an atmosphere that is as beautiful as it is haunting. From uplifting acoustic passages to incredibly triumphant melodies, the band celebrates nature and the demise of society while orchestrating some of the most genuine and passionate music of its kind.

This is slowly becoming one of my all time favourite albums. This is a perfect blueprint for a concept album, it's just one big piece, the songs flow together like butter. Melodies from the beginning come back later but in a different context, the atmosphere of the album is ever moving between the calm beauty of a mountain landscape and the harshness of a cold freezing snowstorm. I hope there will be a CD or Vinyl reissue sometime since I discovered it to late :/ Sumarbrander
